This quarter we learned about many different organisms that live in the ocean. We learned about plankton, nekton and benthic animals. We also studied foraminifers, diatoms, and dinoflagellates. Then we focused more on producers in the ocean. We did a project on green algae, there are about 7000 green algae species that can be found in both salt and fresh water, but it can also be found in damp places. We also did a project on radiolaria. We found that they are unicellular, have radial symmetry, and their earliest forms lived in Cambridge. Now we are finishing up the quarter doing a project on invertebrate animals.
Our tank hasnt been doing so well, we have lost a couple of our fish in the struggle. We have been cleaning it and taking care of it, but we just keep returning to dead fish. We have stolen 2 babies from a different tank, and are now watching them grow strong. They are growing really fast. The water temperature has been stable, and the PH levels are good. IT IS A GOOD DAY IN THE TANK.
